Daniel Moreira is a German-Brazilian composer and conductor of contemporary music. He studied composition in Hamburg and Stuttgart (D), Austin (USA) and Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) with Marco Stroppa and Manfred Stahnke, among others. His award-winning compositions have been performed in the USA, Europe, Asia, Australia and Latin America in renowned festivals, including Cresc. Biennale and ISCM World New Music Days. He collaborates with ensembles and orchestras, including Ensemble Modern. Moreira is a lecturer in composition, instrumentation and acoustics at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media.
