SPARK

The ensemble for contemporary music hand werk which was founded in Cologne in 2011, transfers the topics recycling and sustainability into the musical world. The valuable materials are recycled and refined from the large paper mountain of compositions.

hand werk, consisting of six musicians, has already played at festivals such as Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik, Darmstadt Summer Courses, Ultraschall Berlin, EIGHT BRIDGES Cologne, NOW! Festival Essen, Bayreuth Festival, Music Biennale Zagreb, TransArt Bozen, at Harvard University (USA), in Melbourne and for music theatre productions in Tel Aviv and Shanghai.
