A reading with text fragments by Ukrainian authors. Verbatim contemporary witness texts on the current situation in Ukraine will be read, consisting of fragmentary diary material by Julia Gonchar as well as chat transcripts. The Theatre of Playwrights in Kyiv was founded by 20 playwrights. With the beginning of Russia’s war of aggression, the paths of the playwrights have scattered. Some have remained and now hold weapons instead of pens. Julia Gonchar, co-founder of the Theatre of Playwrights, will be present to talk about the circumstances in which the texts were written.

Fundraising for the Theatre of Playwrights in Kyiv. The collective decides democratically and according to the current need where the donations will go, the basic decision is: 70% of the donations will go to medicines. In addition, there is an urgency to support playwrights who have remained in the occupied territories.
