SPARK

Ulrike Zavelberg lives as a freelance cellist and teacher of cello and chamber music in the Cologne area. She studied in Cologne and Aachen and completed her studies in 1991 at the Folkwang-Hochschule Essen with Prof. Young-Chang Cho.

She is a founding member of the multi-award-winning Rubin Quartet, with whom she has appeared in numerous radio productions. CD recordings, for example in the live-recorded series Authentical Classics Concerts, with works by Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven as well as numerous productions with contemporary music document the range of her artistic work.
