Niklas Seidl is cellist and founding member of hand werk and leise dröhung as well as member of ensemble mosaik. Regular guest appearances take him to Vienna, Stuttgart, Heidelberg, Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Lucerne or London.
Since 2005 he has been working on his own radio pieces and instrumental compositions, which have been performed internationally at festival and on the radio. In 2012 he was a laureate of the Bernd-Alois-Zimmermann-Scholarship of the city of Cologne, later he received scholarships from the Künstlerhof Schreyahn, the Kunststiftung NRW in Istanbul or the Akademie der Künste Berlin. Seidl sometimes spends time with photography.
