SPARK

Dr. Ulrike Hartung did her doctorate in the research training group “Music and Performance” at the Research Institute for Music Theatre Thurnau (fimt) at the University of Bayreuth. She completed her Magister Artium in music theatre studies with a minor in English and modern German literature in Leipzig and Bayreuth. She has held teaching positions at the GU Frankfurt, among others, and has also worked as a communications consultant.

Since 2018, she has been a research assistant at fimt in the DFG research project Persistence and Movement Forces: Music Theatre in Institutional Change between Musealisation and New Formats, whose second funding period until 2024 deals with the Dynamics of Institutionalisation in Independent Music(alien) Theatre.
